Creative Space for Creative Thinking
Paintworks Event Space is a great alternative to stuffy hotels and traditional conference venues, located in the heart of Bristol's creative quarter. The space is very flexible and allows for a varied number of different layouts for different events. It's also flooded with natural light which works well to keep delegates fresh and alert throughout the day. There are two fantastic adjoining courtyards which are a great bonus for coffee breaks and lunches, offering visitors a real fresh-air break from their day's programme.
Days can be booked on a full day or half day rate and our current client list includes BBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, OCR, National Children's Bureau, Sustrans, GOSW, Forum for the Future and AXA.
Night time Launches and Parties
The Event Space and the site in general has an exciting after dark atmosphere and we have hosted some great corporate launches and award ceremonies over the last few years. When the space is lit up at night it looks fantastic and creates a wonderful atmosphere that's perfect for an important company occasion or celebration. Our current clients include Arup, RIBA, BBC Magazines, Talking your Language, Garrad Hassan and Ernst & Young.
Capacities
The Event Space works well for events with 40+ attendees, and the following capacities show our maximum figures:

Breakout Space
In addition to the Event Space, which can naturally be divided in two, we always have at least one break-out room close to the Event Space that can be used if you need extra space for working groups. (Prices for break-out rooms to be negotiated.)
Hire rates
The following hire rates apply for corporate functions:
Sunday - Wednesday, full day hire (9am- midnight) £700
Sunday - Wednesday, half day hire (8am- 1pm or 1pm - 6pm) £400
Thursday - Saturday, full day hire (9am- midnight) £900
Thursday - Saturday, half day hire (8am- 1pm or 1pm - 6pm) £600
All prices are subject to vat and discounts will be given if consecutive days are booked.
Catering
Our in-house caterers have great menus for conferences, workshop days and award ceremonies from bacon butties, pastries and sandwiches, to finger buffets and canapes. These can be sent directly to you on request.
AV and Equipment
We have a preferred AV supplier, locally based SXS, who can supply all of the staging, screens, projectors and sound equipment that you need at very reasonable rates. This can usually be booked in for you directly by Paintworks Events staff and quotes for all equipment can be given immediately on request. It is also fine to bring in your own equipment or mix and match some of your own kit with hired items. SXS are also happy to provide technicians to ensure smooth running if required.

If you think that Paintworks may be a good option for your event, give us a call on the office number 0117 9714320 and we will arrange to meet you, show you around and discuss your plans. If you do decide to go ahead and formally book the space, we can go through a hire agreement at which point we charge a 50% deposit. From this point we work with you to help your ideas become a reality, or inspire you with fresh ideas if you get a bit stuck!
