Weddings and parties
We have a new integrated and fully serviced Sound system, ready for clients to use from September 2010.
We are now fully booked for wedding ceremonies and receptions throughout this year.
We are arranging viewings for 2011 now.
Paintworks Event Space was granted a formal marriage premises licence in 2007, so is now able to cater for couples wanting to take their vows and celebrate their wedding all in one location. This of course can reduce expense and the hassle that comes from moving all the wedding guests from one location to another.
The Event Space isn't a conventional wedding venue, it's not fussy or carpeted, and it's nothing like a manor house, rather, it's a striking blank canvas space with stunning proportions and a unique off-beat but classy atmosphere.
Private parties
The venue is also available for private parties for birthdays, anniversaries, engagements and so on, making for a really memorable occasion.
Tailor made weddings and parties
No two events have ever been the same at Paintworks, and indeed the venue's best selling point is that it can be dressed up, or down, and themed exactly to your own taste and requirements, making for a truly unique look and feel. We often have bands, strolling musicians, entertainers, DJ's and even bouncy castles, creating a very personal and unique day, or night. Some of the weddings and parties held here have been simple reception parties and others have been quite elaborate with full entertainment programmes - it's up to you!
Outdoor Space
There are two lovely courtyards adjoining the Event Space which are great for champagne receptions, photographs, barbeques, hog roasts, children's entertainers or whatever else you'd like. The main courtyard is licenced and available for use until 9pm.
Ceremonies
We tend to hold the ceremonies in a particular area of the space, the Theatre End, which is a more intimate area which can be screened off from the rest of the space and has a fantastic viewing gallery, which can add drama to your ceremony.
Catering and Bars
We have two in-house caterers that run all of the bars for weddings and parties held at the venue, who can also cater for all of your food needs from barbeques to sit down meals.
Suppliers
We do have regular suppliers for lighting, sound, flowers and everything else, offering us excellent service and rates, but the venue is flexible in that you can bring in your own kit or work with your own preferred suppliers.

If you think that Paintworks may be a good option for your wedding, give us a call on the office number 0117 9714320 and we will arrange to meet you, show you around and discuss your plans. If you do decide to go ahead and formally book the space, we can go through a hire agreement at which point we charge a 50% deposit. From this point we work with you over the coming months to help your ideas become a reality, or inspire you with fresh ideas if you get a bit stuck!
Hire rates
The following rates apply for venue hire for weddings at Paintworks:
Standard wedding day and evening for reception or party £1000
Wedding day and evening including ceremony £1100
Holding day for set up before a wedding day £300
(A holding day is usually required, especially when a ceremony is booked)
